Why are there two bills and/or claims for the same service?

Per your insurance carrier requirement, if a Physician and CRNA are involved in providing Anesthesia services to you, we must bill for their services separately. This does not impact your deductible or copay. It’s a billing requirement from your insurance carrier. All payments are split 50-50% between providers, and your liability stays the same.
